Are you interested in buying a high quality speaker system? Sony has been cranking out some awesome stereo systems in the past years and the Sony DAV fx900w is another great system. Usually they have the silver thing going on but this time they decided to go with black and silver. I find it quite appealing actually. I’m a girl that likes a little something different thrown into the mix. I don’t like having something that everyone else has. When this system first game out the price tag was pretty scary though so I stayed away but it has went down considerably. Still not one to buy when you are on a budget however.

The look of the Sony DAV fx900w is not the only good thing this system has going for it. The speaker system also offers the ability to hook the speakers up with wires or to go wireless with the rear speakers. Being able to go wireless is a big plus since you do not have to worry about wires cluttering your living room or den. These speakers can also be wall mounted and this can be done much easier since they have the wireless feature available.

Something I have found that may not be the best about this speakers is the load time. Since it has that cute little slot loading disc changer it can be pretty slow at times. If you are an impatient person you may want to move onto another system – 20 seconds to start playing a CD, 30 seconds to change discs, and 8 seconds to eject one of these. This may not affect some people’s opinions but it all depends on the personality.

One other thing you may be worried about is the quality of the system’s build. I was happily surprised to see that the system’s build is quite sturdy. This is always something I look for in just about anything since I have two kids that make it their mission to test out the strength of anything that comes into their path – or that they make a path through! The main front and surround speakers are 23.25 inches tall,wall mounts and short table stands are included so you can set it up to your preference. If you decide to put them on the stands they will come to 47.25 inches tall.

All in all a great system but I did find it interesting that you can only put two things into the back,this is fine for me because I don’t have that much to plug in but others may want more inputs included with the item. There are a lot of input types on the back and you can pretty much hook up whatever you like but only two things at the same time.

Just like anything else the Sony DAV fx900w has it’s pros and cons and you as the consumer have the ability to make a choice upon your personal preference.
